It's Morning In America
A few days of delightful weather have sunnied up my disposition considerably.
(Still checking job boards for positions abroad and betting all my money on the lottery, though. I hear that after Bush's next round of tax cuts millionaires will actually be subsidized. Someone had a word for this … what was it? Voo Doo economics? Who said that? Oh, this is going to bug me all day.)
Okay, maybe I'm not feeling that much better. I still can't read the newsmagazines. I start to read an article about what a genius Karl Rove is and my stomach seizes up on me and the room starts to spin and I become convinced flying monkies are going to bust in the room and wisk me off to Karen Hughes.
Still, there are a few rays of light on the horizon, satirical and invective though they may be. Here are a couple of nuggets courtesy an avowed Republican — and baby killer … and hater of puppies … and HMO executive. Enjoy.
